I had a hard time restraining myself from croping this shot. I've gotten quite a few suggestions telling me not to crop quite so close. So I did not crop this shot at all. I would really appreciate any suggestions/critiques of any kind.
so much easyer to see what they are now. Interesting how there hair can make them so bulky. And this one looks well groomed, judgeing by the head. Do they stay groomed, or do you groom them?
Most of them are pretty messy. This picture was taken about 4 days after we sheared his fleece off so the top of his head was pretty clean. They have little "hairs" that grow about half an inch longer then their fleece so they start to look a little scruffy after a time. We normal just let the hairs grow and then trim them before a show and after we shear.
I think the reason it works so well un-cropped is in triangles: the fence makes a triangle, the patch of grass is a triangle, your alpaca also makes a triangle, so the shot works.
